Dodgers vs Braves, 6:00 ET
- Tyler Glasnow vs. Tyler Mahle
- Injured much of the season, Glasnow threw to a 3.53 ERA and a 0.95 ERA over 74 innings of work this year. His road ERA of 2.84 has been about a run and a half better than his home ERA. The Braves are hitting .182 against Glasnow over almost 100 at-bats.
- Tyler Mahle threw a great postseason outing with seven innings of one-run ball. Since coming to Atlanta, he has allowed 12 earned runs over 55.1 innings in nine starts with the Braves. Los Angeles is hitting .208 against Mahle.
Rays vs Yankees, 8:00 ET
- Nick Martinez vs. Max Fried
- The Rays are sending Nick Martinez and his 3.10 ERA to the mound for Game 3. He also brings a 1.09 WHIP to the game. Stellar on the road this season, Martinez has been quietly dominant. Yankees hitters are batting .254 against him in 126 at-bats.
- Max Fried comes into this game after a strong first start of the playoffs. He held the Red Sox to just a solo homer in six innings of work. He hasn’t pitched as well at home this season as he has on the road, though. Rays hitters are batting .179 over 134 at-bats against him.
Brewers vs Padres, 10:00 ET
- Undecided vs. Walker Buehler
- The Brewers have yet to decide who will start, or perhaps open if it is a bullpen game, tonight.
- The Padres send out Walker Buehler to the mound. He went 9-6 this season with a 4.63 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. He will likely be on a very short leash tonight and only face the Brewers lineup once. Though his numbers aren’t great, he has been better the first time through a batting order than any other time facing a lineup. Brewers hitters are batting .231 against him over 39 at-bats.
