This isn’t exactly the matchup that the schedule makers were expecting when they scheduled this game for prime time. Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels had been out for multiple weeks, but returned to action last week only to tie the Giants in overtime. Daniels hasn’t played poorly this season, but he hasn’t exactly been all that impressive either. In his two full games, he is 35-for-59, with just 363 yards and two touchdowns.
They now have to head to San Francisco to face the best team in football. The books have officially listed the 49ers as the team to beat for the Super Bowl, moving them to favorites. It is justified. The team is 5-0 and has a great chance to move to 6-0 here. Brock Purdy is playing like an MVP candidate, and the usual string of injuries the 49ers deal with is nonexistent.
