Tom Hanks’ son Chet confronted comedian Eric André last weekend about their years-long feud in an encounter caught on tape.
“Finally ran into @ericf—–gandre , who apparently travels to ComplexCon with 4 security guards (because the environment makes him uneasy) and who had NO MEMORY WHATSOEVER of trashing me to the media after I outshined him on his own show!!” the 36-year-old musician wrote on his Instagram while sharing the video.
He continued, “Until after being sheltered by his security team, began foaming at the mouth and admitted it was because he had a problem with me ‘mocking Caribbean culture’ when I did my Jamaican accent all those years ago. WHO KNEW that in addition to the brain rot and poop joke humor he is known for, Eric is also such a passionate cultural activist!!! Great running into you Eric!!!!”

Hanks’ video of the encounter shows the musician approaching André as he walks through the convention and putting his hand on his shoulder.
André turns to Hanks and asks him, “What’s up?” in a friendly tone before Hanks confronts him. “What’d I say?” André can be heard asking.

Hanks continued to vent his frustration at André, which can’t be heard, as André shrugs a couple of times.

The incident ends with André walking away with his security team while saying something about his dad, Tom Hanks, and Hanks laughing with his friends and adding, “That was a long time coming.”

Hanks appeared on “The Eric Andre Show” in June 2023. Months earlier, André told Rolling Stone that Hanks “broke our crew. It felt like ‘Rust.’ He broke us down.”

“He is … emotionally disturbed,” André continued. “He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders. It was very dangerous. He tried to prank us back, but we edited out all his bulls–t! He’s not well. How did Colin Hanks come out so good and Chet Hanks come out so bad?”

After the interview came out, Hanks responded at the time on his Instagram Stories, calling André a “p—y” and claiming in a video that he “outshined” the comedian and was only attempting to “match energy” of André’s “weird, outlandish, troll” guests, according to Page Six.
