Former Brat Pack member, Judd Nelson, looked unrecognizable when spotted during a rare outing earlier this week.

The 66-year-old star was photographed while out-and-about in West Hollywood. He was photographed driving around town in his motorcycle, which featured yellow rims and accents throughout.

In the photos, Nelson sported a long beard and long hair, which he covered with either a gray baseball cap or a black helmet.

He kept things casual in a pair of camo pants, a red and blue flannel shirt, layered with a long black coat, which he accessorized with a pair of black sunglasses.

Nelson rose to fame in the 1980s as a member of the infamous Brat Pack, which was a nickname given to a group of young actors who frequently appeared in movies together throughout the decade.

The term was a play on the Rat Pack, which referred to a group of Las Vegas entertainers who often performed together in the 1950s and 60s, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr.

Other members include Nelson’s “The Breakfast Club” co-stars, Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy and Anthony Michael Hall, as well as Demi Moore, Andrew McCarthy and Rob Lowe.

The term was coined by writer David Blum, who called the group of actors in a June 1985 article for New York Magazine, after both “St. Elmo’s Fire” and “The Breakfast Club” were released in the same year and featured many of the same cast members.

“They kind of portrayed my generation of actors as being entitled and irresponsible and unprofessional,” Nelson told US Weekly in March 2024, regarding his feelings about the nickname. “Whereas my experience was everyone was on time. Everyone knows their lines. It’s so weird.”

He also found it “weird” that the article made it seem as if the members of the Brat Pack were good friends, saying, “I lived in New York, then I did a movie with people out here [in L.A.]” and then once he was back in New York he lost touch.

Former Brat Pack member, Andrew McCarthy, produced the 2024 documentary, “Brats,” which featured many of the pack members, and allowed them to reflect on their feelings about the term.

Nelson refused to participate in the documentary, explaining, “I don’t even know who’s in the Brat Pack.”

“It’s like, why kind of rebirth something that wasn’t necessarily fun?” he said. “How can we be experts on something that didn’t ever really exist?”
