Actor Robert De Niro appeared in a new political ad Thursday encouraging early voting to ensure liberal votes count no matter what “they” pull on Election Day.
The ad, which was shared by the progressive political group Indivisible, was part of a “Hands Off Our Vote” campaign to encourage efforts to protect the right to vote, which the “Focker-in-Law” actor claimed was threatened by the Trump administration.
“Voting is a constitutional right, but you have to see that this administration and the Supreme Court aren’t paying any attention to our constitutional rights,” De Niro said in the video.

In the ad, De Niro, a known critic of President Donald Trump, argued that it should be “easy” to support any preferred candidate, whether it be a “would-be king who gets us into a disastrous war and corruptly profits from it” or “candidates who won’t cut your healthcare and won’t protect pedophiles.”
“There are some powerful people who want to take away that power. This is Robert De Niro and I’ve got a message for them: no f—ing way. We’re fighting them in the courts and standing up to them in the streets,” De Niro said.

“Whether by mail or in person, you control when, and then, no matter what they pull on Election Day, your vote will already be banked,” De Niro said.
The White House responded with a scathing comment.
“Robert De Niro is a washed up has-been who hasn’t been relevant in 30 years,” spokesman Davis Ingle told Fox News Digital. “Now, he just beclowns himself by spewing hate speech and inciting violence against others. Instead of embarrassing himself every time he speaks, he should immediately seek help to treat his severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has completely rotted his peanut-sized brain.”
Fox News Digital reached out to Indivisible for comment.
De Niro’s video followed months of Democratic Party members claiming that Trump would attempt to “cheat” or rig the midterm elections in his favor. In a video released in August, former Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that Trump and the Republicans were “trying to cheat” and that the results for Democrats must be “too big to rig.”

“It is Democrats bending over backwards to prevent voter ID and proof of citizenship for American elections,” Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, told Fox News Digital in February. “It is Democrats demanding that nobody ask questions about election security and irregularities. The projection is jaw-dropping.”
