Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., running for governor of Minnesota, was widely mocked as inauthentic online this week as conservatives called her out for posting the same picture wearing the same shirt in posts supporting the Minnesota Vikings several years in a row.
“Game Day against the Packers,” Klobuchar posted on X on Sunday in support of her state’s NFL team’s first game of the season. “Time to get out the shirt.”
Conservatives on social media quickly pointed out that Klobuchar had posted the same photo, cropped differently, multiple times over the last few years as many users mocked the gubernatorial hopeful for being out of touch.
“Amy Klobuchar has now used the exact same photo to ring in the Vikings season opener four years in a row,” Townhall columnist Dustin Grage posted on X. “So authentic.”

“lol huge fan that she is, she has only ever had one Vikings t-shirt and there’s only one photo in existence of her actually wearing it,” Former Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh posted on X.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Klobuchar campaign for comment.
Klobuchar, running against Minnesota Republican Speaker of the House Lisa Demuth in November to replace outgoing Democratic Gov. Tim Walz, has faced strong criticism from conservatives over the massive fraud scandal in the state which unfolded over the last decade as she represented Minnesota in the Senate.
Klobuchar has defended her handling of the fraud scandal by pointing to her plan to launch a “top-to-bottom audit” of state agencies on her first day as governor and “identify waste, fraud and abuse.”
