The first Monday in May is back.
Lauren Sánchez Bezos dazzled in a midnight blue gown as she kicked off arrivals for the Met Gala. Beyonce returned for the first time in ten years, as she said she’s excited to be there with her daughter.
Blake Lively shocked the world as she hit the red carpet just hours after settling her lawsuit with Justin Baldoni.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian, Irina Shayk, and Sabrina Carpenter stunned in equally incredible looks.
The 2026 Met Gala is held annually at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The coveted, invite-only event welcomes the biggest stars in Hollywood to raise money to support the Costume Institute. According to Town & Country, the Met Gala broke records this year and raised $42 million.
The outlet reported that individual tickets cost $100,000, and this year’s event is primarily funded by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez-Bezos. Protests were occurring all over New York City leading up to Monday’s big night.

The 2026 Met Gala theme is “Costume Art,” paired with the dress code, “Fashion Is Art.” Following the Met Gala, the exhibition will be open to the public from May 10 until January 10, 2027.
Anna Wintour famously hosts the event annually, but other co-chairs this year include: Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams.

Kidman arrived at the 2026 Met Gala in a fiery, red look. The “Babygirl” star wore a deep red, sequined custom Chanel gown with feather details on the sleeves.

The actress was accompanied by her 17-year-old daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, who made her Met Gala debut in a strapless pale pink Dior gown decorated with 3D floral appliqués, which she paired with oversized matching earrings.

Bezos’ wife, Lauren, arrived to fashion biggest night in a navy blue, floor-length gown. Her low-cut dress was off-the-shoulder and featured pearl detailing on the shoulder.

Kim Kardashian embodied a living sculpture as she wore a bronze fiberglass cone bra breastplate bodysuit, which she paired with a coordinating leather half skirt painted with bold, brushstroke-style detailing that opened in the front.

Sabrina Carpenter paid tribute to Old Hollywood, stepping out in custom Dior gown made from strips of vintage film, including imagery from the 1954 classic “Sabrina” starring Audrey Hepburn. The singer’s dress featured a halter-style neckline with sheer, beaded elements and a slit tulle skirt. Carpenter accessorized with a bejeweled, flapper-style headpiece covered in crystals and diamonds.

Blake Lively looked ethereal, wearing a pastel archival Atelier Versace gown in soft shades of pink, peach, yellow and lilac that created a watercolor-like effect and featured a draped, gemstone-embroidered bodice and a dramatic, flowing train. The actress added a personal touch as she carried a custom bag decorated with artwork by her children.

Katy Perry opted for an astronaut-inspired look in a futuristic white Stella McCartney gown with a full face-covering headpiece. The headpiece had a rounded silver face with white mesh details. Perry, who co-chaired the Met Gala back in 2017, accessorized with white gloves as she posed on the red carpet.

Heidi Klum fully embraced the “Fashion is Art” theme in a dramatic, sculptural ensemble made latex and spandex and designged by Mike Merino that transformed the supermodel into a “living statue.” The “America’s Got Talent” judge’s look was “Inspired by classical works like the Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sammartino and the Veiled Vestal by Raffaele Monti.”
Kylie Jenner wowed in a nude Schiaparelli corset gown designed to mimic the human body with hyper-realistic details including fake nipples and a belly button. The dress featured a full, cream-colored satin skirt that had delicate pink beading. Jenner wore her hair down with a single dramatic curl on her forehead and sported bleached eyebrows and diamond statement earrings.
