Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy joins ‘Fox News Live’ to preview the Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C. Duffy discusses the planning behind the historic event, federal coordination and what the race means for the nation’s capital.
The NTT IndyCar Series is about to hold a once-in-a-lifetime event on the streets of Washington, D.C., the Freedom 250 Grand Prix.
Organizers expect 140,000 fans on race day, and tickets — which were free — were gone in a flash.
But fear not, you can still catch all the IndyCar action in the nation’s capital.

When is the Freedom 250 Grand Prix?
The 250-mile race is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. ET on a circuit that begins in front of the Capitol Building, makes a left down Pennsylvania Avenue and then weaves through the National Mall back to the start-finish line.

How can I watch it?
The race, like all IndyCar races this season, will be on Fox.
As previously stated, the race will begin at 1 p.m. ET, but a special extended prerace show will start at 11:30 a.m. ET on Fox.
What if I wake up early and want to see IndyCar’s on-track action before that?
First of all, if that’s the case, you’re pretty cool.
And you’re in luck! Like many IndyCar weekends, there will be a brief pre-race warm-up session starting at 9 a.m. ET on FS1.

Can it be streamed?
If you’re not a cable customer and haven’t invested in a good ol’ fashioned pair of rabbit ears, you’re in luck. All sessions, whether they air on Fox, FS1, or FS2, can be streamed on FOX ONE.
Where is the next IndyCar race?
After the checkered flag flies at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, teams will shift their focus to a very different track, the Milwaukee Mile.
