Only one MLB Wild Card series went the distance, and it is between two heavyweights: the Braves and Phillies. For tonight’s deciding game, Fanatics Sportsbook is offering promo code FOXNEWS350 for new users to earn $350 in bonus funds on a $20 bet.
Game 1 went to the Braves, and it was a massive late-game homer that sent them over the top. After falling behind in the first inning, they tied the game in the second. Then took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. It didn’t last long, as the Phillies took over in the top of the seventh. In the bottom of the eighth, the Braves had to face the Phillies closer, Johan Duran, and Austin Riley launched a bomb over the fence to give them a 5-3 lead, which they closed out the next inning.
Game 2 was equally entertaining. Both teams kicked off the scoring in the first inning with some small ball. It was quiet for multiple innings before the bats broke out in the seventh inning. The Braves took a 3-1 lead after a misplay in the outfield by Bryce Harper. It wasn’t over for the Phillies, though.

In the top of the inning, Kyle Schwarber hit one over the fence, and then Bryce Harper hit one right after to tie the game. It was deadlocked at three until the tenth inning, when Alec Bohm hit a home run to give the Phillies the lead and the game.
