There is plenty of excitement going on in the sports world today and this week. We are down to 10 or fewer games for almost all MLB teams, and the playoffs are on the horizon. College Football has some great games as an appetizer on Friday and on the main course of Saturday. And sandwiched between them is Thursday Night Football.
The baseball schedule has 15 games that people can enjoy starting at 1:00 ET and going all the way until the last game’s first pitch of 9:40 ET. There are quite a few great arms taking the hill tonight as well, with the likes of Carlos Rodon, Blake Snell, Zack Wheeler, and Robbie Ray toeing the rubber.

If baseball isn’t your thing, maybe you’ll want to start betting on college or professional football this week. The NFL saw a whirlwind of a first week with some impressive performances and some big upsets. Thursday night brings Josh Allen and the Bills into action against Jared Goff and the Lions. Offense should be showcased here.
Saturday has a really tasty slate with two games between ranked opponents. SMU is taking on Louisville, but there is no bigger game on the day than LSU going into battle with Ole Miss. This is can’t-miss football action.

Pitcher’s Corner
Zack Wheeler
The Phillies’ starter continues to find ways to confound hitters. Zack Wheeler has been one of the most reliable starters over the past decade and continues to mow down lineups. This year, he has a 12-5 record with a 3.14 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP. Unfortunately, due to some injuries earlier in the year, he isn’t qualifying for any of the league-leading numbers, but he’s still turned in a performance most pitchers would envy. Today he faces a Nationals team that has hit just 21-for-100 against him. James Wood, in particular, struggles against him, going just 1-for-12 with seven strikeouts.
