A truck driver on a Utah freeway narrowly missed being struck by lightning amid severe weather earlier this week.
Video of the incident appears to show the moment a lightning strike hit Interstate 84, near the mouth of Weber Canyon, just feet away from a moving truck on Tuesday night, ABC4.com reported.
Motorist Tucker Ralphs captured the video on his dashcam as he was commuting home.

“Lightning struck the edge of the freeway feet from a truck just ahead of me,” he told Storyful, adding that it was “louder than you can imagine, with a very sharp ‘crack’ and ‘boom.’ Super bright, then gone in an instant.”
The National Weather Service confirmed to the news outlet that the area experienced a thunderstorm. Data from the agency showed that a lightning strike hit the side of the freeway at about 9 p.m. local time.
