FIRST ON FOX — Chick-fil-A is adding a spicy twist to its signature sauce, introducing its first new permanent sauce in a decade.

Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce will arrive at restaurants nationwide on Nov. 16. The new sauce will be available in standard dipping cups and 8-ounce bottles, the Atlanta-based company told Fox News Digital.

The sauce blends the chain’s classic flavor, with its mustard notes and smoky tang, with spicy peppers and subtle sweetness, according to Chick-fil-A. The company said its menu team aimed to honor the original while creating a distinct new experience.

“We know our guests love bold, spicy flavors, and in our year of newstalgia, we’re turning up the heat on a classic,” Allison Duncan, Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“As our first new permanent sauce in 10 years, Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce delivers an exciting kick to the signature flavor our guests know and love.”

Customers on Reddit were already discussing the possibility of a spicy version before the announcement.

Some welcomed the idea, while others questioned whether it would deliver enough heat.

“A big pet peeve of mine is so many food items that say ‘spicy’ but aren’t. I’m skeptical of this sauce too,” one Reddit user wrote.

Another commenter joked, “You mean I no longer have to mix my CFA and Buffalo to make Chickfalo sauce anymore.”

Yet another user admitted to being skeptical of fast-food chains’ claims about spicy food, writing that “most places market something ‘spicy’ and it barely has any kick.”

Chick-fil-A said its research over the past year found that customers consistently identified a spicy version of its signature sauce as the sauce they most wanted to see added to the menu.
