Caitlin Clark plays for the Indiana Fever, who plays in a building is just a short walk from Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts.
Clark, who has routinely been spotted watching Kansas City Chiefs games from a luxury suite alongside music star Taylor Swift, joked that her football allegiance could shift toward the Indianapolis Colts. But she jokingly cautioned that throwing her support behind the Colts could leave Travis Kelce and Chiefs fans somewhat upset.
Clark appeared on the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, hosted by Kylie Kelce, Taylor Swift’s sister-in-law, and recalled attending a Colts game last season. During her visit to Lucas Oil Stadium, Clark explained why she chose not to wear the custom jersey the team had given her.

Kylie was supportive of Clark’s decision not to wear the blue jersey during the podcast. Clark also suggested it was best for her “to be loyal to the red,” a reference to the Chiefs’ signature jersey color.

Kylie then asked whether Clark had noticed any backlash over the jersey situation.
“Honestly, in real time I wasn’t thinking I’m not gonna put this on because I don’t want, like, the Chiefs fans mad or Travis mad or whatever, but after the fact, I didn’t realize that all my teammates had it on, so that made me look worse.,” Clark said.

The custom Colts jersey wasn’t thrown out, in fact, Clark still has it. “It’s cool! They put my name on it,” she told Kylie, who shared she’s “caught a lot of sh– for not putting the red on” when she’s taking in Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium with her husband, Jason Kelce.

Even so, Clark appears to have respect for the Colts organization and its leadership, which is overseen by the late Jim Irsay’s daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson. Carlie leads the franchise’s day-to-day operations and has developed a reputation for her hands-on approach, including standing on the sideline during games with an earpiece to listen to live play calls.
“I love the Colts. I think it’s so cool, the Irsay daughters and what they do,” Clark said.

Clark’s friendly relationship with the Kelce family also extends to Donna Kelce, the mother of Travis and Jason. Donna wore Clark’s jersey, and the two chatted before a Fever game in September.
The Colts have lost four consecutive games and appear to be entering a major roster overhaul. Amid the shakeup, running back Jonathan Taylor emerged as a potential trade candidate. ESPN, however, recently reported that the Colts “don’t wanna trade” Taylor, at least for now.
