If you’re going to wager on the games, it makes a lot of sense to focus on the quarterbacks for each game. Let’s take a look at who will be under center for the teams in these two major matchups.
Texas vs. Oklahoma, 3:30 ET
Texas has the most famous quarterback in college football, or at least the one with the most famous last name. Arch Manning came to Texas as one of the most hyped prospects in the past decade. He hasn’t always looked elite, but he is still expected to be a top selection in the upcoming draft. He is 73-for-115 for 862 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Oklahoma is once again with John Mateer. This is his second year with Oklahoma after three years at Washington State. This is just his third year as a starter, and last year was a bit rough. This season he is 72-for-109 with 883 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions. Last year against Texas, he had 202 yards and three interceptions.
Georgia vs. Alabama, 7:30 ET
Gunner Stockton has been one of the better quarterbacks in the nation through his first five games of the season. He has 1,049 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and just one interception. Against SEC competition, he has thrown just five of his touchdowns in the three games. Last season against Alabama, he threw for four touchdowns and 286 yards in two games.
This is the first taste of rivalry action for Keelon Russell. He’s been solid this season for Alabama with 1,414 yards, 11 touchdowns, and two interceptions in his five games. His QBR of 91.0 is third in the nation. After not throwing for a touchdown in his first start of the season, he has thrown for 10 in his past three games.
