Patriots vs Bears | Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at 8:15 ET | Soldier Field, Chicago, IL | Prime Video
We’ve seen both of these teams have some elite defense over the seasons, but lately, the teams are a bit more exciting with their offensive schemes and firepower. The Patriots had a great defense last year, and the Bears’ defense was opportunistic.
Let’s take a look at how the two teams match up this season on defense.
New England Patriots:
- Allowing 300.8 yards per game to opponents, sixth in the league.
- 11th-ranked pass defense, allowing 209 yards per game.
- Eighth-best rush defense in football with just 91.8 yards allowed.
- 18.8 points allowed per game, fifth overall in football
Chicago Bears:
- 7th in the league with 302.3 yards allowed to opponents per game
- Passing defense sits at 14th in the league with 211.8 yards allowed
- Slightly better rushing defense than New England with 90.5 yards allowed per game.
- Allowing 19.8 points per game to opponents.
In terms of turnovers created this season, the Bears have found a way to get nine turnovers from opponents this year. They have three interceptions, and they have six fumble recoveries. The Patriots have matched the same number of turnovers, but they have four interceptions and five fumble recoveries.
BetMGM is offering new users a chance to bet on tonight’s game, and if their first wager loses, they will receive the same value in bonus funds when using promo code FOXNEWS.
