The Los Angeles Rams pulled off a wild comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but some members of Sean McVay’s coaching staff apparently got a little too caught up in the moment.
In response to questions from OutKick on Monday, a Rams spokesperson provided comments from McVay’s news conference in which the head coach said he had addressed the incident with his staff.
“Yep, we talked about it. We’ll be better in those situations,” McVay said.

Video circulating on social media showed Rams coaches celebrating inside their booth at Lincoln Financial Field while exchanging words and gestures with Eagles fans on the other side of the glass.

At least one member of the Rams staff appeared to give fans the middle finger during the exchange. The video also showed objects, including what appeared to be drinks, being thrown toward the coaches’ booth.
The staff member making the gesture appears to be Rams assistant offensive line coach Brian Allen, although the team has not confirmed that identification.
Allen is in his first season as an assistant offensive line coach after working with the Rams as a consultant in 2025.
A former Rams center, Allen appeared in 50 regular-season games for Los Angeles, including 32 starts. He also started all four playoff games during the team’s Super Bowl LVI championship run following the 2021 season.

The Rams beat the Eagles, 24-20, despite trailing 20-10 in the fourth quarter. The incident appeared to take place just after Los Angeles running back Kyren Williams scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:10 remaining.
OutKick asked the Rams to identify the coaches involved and whether any disciplinary action had been taken. The team’s response did not provide either detail.

McVay acknowledged that emotions can run hot for coaches working from the booth, saying he experienced that himself earlier in his career with Washington.
“You get excited and emotional,” McVay said. “We’ll learn from that. We’ll be better.”

“Those fans are really into it, but I know that we want to make sure that we’re representing the class and the calm steadiness that we want to have, while also being emotionally into it,” McVay said.
“We did talk about it and that won’t be an issue moving forward.”
McVay isn’t asking for silence in the booth. He’s asking his coaches to keep their celebrations from turning into confrontations with fans.
And let’s be fair: some Eagles fans weren’t exactly passive observers here (shocking, we know).
Whatever was said or gestured from the Rams’ booth, throwing objects toward it isn’t exactly the picture of restraint, either.

OutKick also contacted the NFL and Philadelphia Eagles for comment regarding the incident, including whether the league was reviewing the conduct and whether the fans who threw objects were identified or disciplined. Neither had responded as of publication.
McVay’s message to his staff seems straightforward: celebrate the win and enjoy the emotion, but keep the middle fingers away from the glass.
