You don't need to quit snacking to lose weight – doctor recommends 80 calorie food

Shedding those extra pounds can be a real challenge, particularly during the chilly winter months when comfort food becomes our go-to and snacking seems irresistible.

Yet, there’s good news on the horizon. Doctor Ahmed, also known as dra_says on TikTok, who is famed for his health tips online, has recently shared some valuable advice. The GP provides insights into various health concerns and what to watch out for if you’re anxious about your wellbeing.

In one of his latest TikTok videos, he focused on weight loss and revealed what he believes might just be the “greatest snack” available. A patient introduced it to him, and he was thoroughly impressed by its deliciousness.

Doctor Ahmed recounted how the patient was on a weight loss journey, prompting him to examine the snack’s nutritional content, which left him “amazed”. This wonder snack boasts a mere 80 calories, packs in 15 grams of protein and contains only four grams of sugar.

Moreover, he described it as “very thick and creamy”, claiming it keeps you satiated and tastes absolutely divine. In fact, it’s almost like indulging in a dessert.

He disclosed: “So, it’s Nestle Kvarg, and it’s available in every supermarket I’ve ever been to. I’ve never really noticed it until now.

“So I normally have one of these as a snack or, if at the end of the meal, I’m still hungry. I might have one of these to fill me up.

“So different content to what I normally make, but I think this is such an awesome product. And, it’s helped me, because I normally would buy like a protein bar, or something like that. Now I replace that with this to get me through the day if I’m feeling hungry.”

Doctor Ahmed chimed in with his professional take on the matter, highlighting the product as a “helpful tool” for those looking to shed some pounds due to its balance and nutritional qualities, plus there’s no need to skimp on taste as it’s rather enjoyable.

Online commenters have reacted positively, as many people seem to be fans of the snack. The comments section quickly flooded with food fans singing the product’s praises.

Amongst the accolades, one viewer said: “I’ll save you a minute. Nestle Kvarg, white chocolate flavour.”

Another shared their personal experience, noting: “Kvarg is great. My go-to diabetic snack. I’m fond of the raspberry.”

A third commenter added: “That brand’s lovely. I use them when I’m on the go, usually I make my own though. Just fat free yoghurt and a spoon of whey protein.”
