Yorkshire puddings rise to a ‘jaw-dropping height and shape’ with easy 13-minute recipe

When it comes to a roast dinner for many Britons a golden Yorkshire pudding is a must go-to alongside your roast pork, roast beef or roast chicken.

While there are so many recipes for Yorkshire puddings, not all of them guarantee a “‘jaw-dropping height and shape” like this one from Irina, cookbook author and the woman behind the food blog Daily Yum.

What’s more, you don’t even need to use your oven for this 13-minute recipe – it’s cooked in the air fryer.

Describing them, Irina said: “These air fryer Yorkshire pudding are a five-ingredient show-stopping golden puffy buns that are made in the air fryer in minutes and risen to a jaw-dropping height and shape.

“The air fryer gives the pudding a nice crispy exterior while keeping the inside light, airy and fluffy.”

She claimed that her favourite thing about them is “how easy it is to make” and how versatile they are.

Irina recommends using silicon muffin liners for the Yorkshire puddings as they “slide out with ease” and “rise better”.

Ingredients

One cup of milk

One cup of flour

Three medium eggs

Half a teaspoon salt

Two tablespoons oil

Method

Start by combining all of the ingredients in a bowl and whisking until you achieve a “smooth consistency”. It’s important to ensure that there are no lumps in the batter.

Generously grease each muffin case with oil and place them in the air fryer to heat up for five minutes.

Next, pour the batter into each hot greased muffin liner – fill it in only halfway.

Then cook on air fry mode for 13 minutes at 190 degrees. If using bake mode, you can increase the temperature to 200 degrees.

Flip after 10 minutes and cook the bottoms for the remaining three minutes or until golden to your liking.

Once you pull out the air fryer drawer, be prepared for the “jaw-dropping effect”, said the cook. She said: “You will be amazed at how beautiful they look and how much they have risen.”

The result is “golden, fluffy Yorkshire puddings that are sure to impress your family and friends”.
