Undertaker defeated The Bulgarian Brute in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble and made it clear that he rates him highly after their bout.
Taker is arguably the most respected professional wrestler of all time and his opinion carries great weight within the company.
Rusev is considered as one of the most popular superstars in wrestling today as he receives loud cheers from the WWE Universe even when he competes as a heel.
The Super Athlete’s tremendous wrestling skills, impressive promos and entertaining Rusev Day gimmick, that sees him performing as an arrogant athlete who thinks every day should be dedicated to him, have earned him a lot of adulation from the fans.
At the Greatest Royal Rumble the ex-US Champion won over another fan in Undertaker, whom he greatly respects.
After their fight the 34-year-old grappler got to pick The Deadman’s brains and the WWE hero told him he was very impressed with his performance.
The Plovdiv-born star had a lot of fun working with The Phenom and is very pleased that he got to share the ring with him after being put in a programme with legends like Triple H, Hulk Hogan and more.
Rusev told Express Sport: “It was fine, it was fun working with him.
“It’s not like I have a checklist, but I got to work with him and Hunter and Hogan and few people who I watched growing up and always been a big fan of obviously all of them.
“And Taker is such a special character and he’s been here for like 30 years or whatnot.
“He’s a legend, he’s an icon so getting to work with him and talk to him afterwards and pick his brains it was a great opportunity for me.
“He told me that I’m really good.
“I’m not even messing around, he told me I’m really good.”
Undertaker will return to the ring in WWE’s next Pay-Per-View event in Saudi Arabia on June 7 at the King Abdullah International Stadium.
The seven-time world champion will take on WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg for the first time ever.
