NATO fighter jets were scrambled in Poland and along the military alliance’s eastern flank on Friday as Vladimir Putin’s forces unleashed terror on Ukraine.
The move is in response to Russia launching a massive aerial attack against Ukraine on Friday, firing 93 missiles and almost 200 drones, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Mr Zelensky described the attack as one of the heaviest bombardments of the country’s energy sector since Russia’s full-scale invasion almost three years ago.
