The Mona Lisa is the biggest tourist attraction letdown.
Sightseers say they were most disappointed by Leonardo da Vinci’s 16th Century work of art in the Louvre, Paris.
The 30in x 20.8in painting was first in a top 10 list of “so what” sights.
Holidaymakers were also underwhelmed by Checkpoint Charlie – the former border crossing point between East and West Berlin during the Cold War.
The 24in Manneken Pis sculpture of a boy weeing in Brussels was the third biggest letdown, a survey of 2,000 people by airline easyJet found. Iceland’s Northern Lights topped the most desirable sights to see, followed by Lake Como in Italy and the Greek island of Santorini.
More than half of those polled are influenced by other people’s Instagram pictures of holidays when booking their own trips.
Daniel Young, of easyJet, said: “This trend is helping people to discover new places.”
