World of Warcraft War Within release time, date and how to play TODAY

World of Waraft The War Within is the latest expansion coming to the hugely popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Despite officially having an August 26 release date on PC, World of Warcraft fans can actually play the game from today! Early access to World of Warcraft The War Within begins at 11pm BST UK time on August 22. If you want to jump into the action early and ahead of schedule, then you can gain access on August 22 by purchasing the Epic Edition of the game. In addition to early access, The World of Warcraft War Within Epic Edition contains a number of bonus items.

First up is the Algarian Stormrider Mount, which is described as a fully customisable and lightning-infused. The mount comes in four different colours, complete with 42 customisable options.

That’s on top of the Stormrider’s Attire Transmog Set, which is upgradeable by completing special race courses.

You’ll also receive an enhanced level 70 character boost, as well as 30 days of World of Warcraft game time.

“With the Epic Upgrade, gain the Deepdweller’s Earthen Hearthstone composed of minerals extracted from the greatest of depths, a playful Storm Hatchling, a Sandbox Storm Gryphon toy and additional Trader’s Tender,” Blizzard adds.

World of Warcraft The War Within is the first instalment of The Worldsoul Saga. It will be followed by the Midnight expansion and The Last Titan.

As part of the expansion, players will journey through the subterranean worlds found below Azeroth.

According to Blizzard, the new locations are filled with “hidden wonders and lurking perils, down to the dark depths of the nerubian empire, where the malicious Harbinger of the Void is gathering arachnid forces to bring Azeroth to its knees”.

World of Warcraft fans will also be able to play as a new Allied race called The Earthen. This Titan-forged race can be found in Khaz Algar.

Elsewhere, Blizzard is introducing Hero Talents, which are modelled after “well-known archetypes from the Warcraft universe, including Dark Ranger and Farseer”.

Perhaps most exciting of all, however, are Delves, which are bite-sized adventures that are seamlessly integrated into the world and can be scaled for 1-5 players.

Finally, Warbands are a quality of life feature for players with multiple characters. It allows you to share things like banks, reputations and transmogs across all playable characters.
