Woman fatally shot in head in Queens, husband wounded

A 32-year-old woman was shot dead in Queens and a man believed to be her husband was wounded, police said Monday.

The victims were shot on 14th Road near 119th St. in College Point about 1:15 a.m., cops said.

The woman, shot in the head, died at the scene, police said.

The 49-year-old man believed to be her husband made it on his own to Flushing Hospital and is being treated for gunshot wounds to his arm and back.

The shooter ran off and is being sought.

Four shell casings were recovered at the scene. A Volkswagen with South Carolina plates, believed to belong to one of the victims, was also found at the scene with blood inside it.
