These are the shocking effects a woman suffered to her lips after having botched fillers.

Ashleigh Villaverde was left with horrific bruising and “lips like grapes” after having the cosmetic surgery .

She splashed more than $960 (£800) for six rounds of the procedure but she says her last one left her lips throbbing with pain.

And the next day, the mother was taken to hospital for treatment.

The medical assistant, from Peoria, Arizona, said: “Considering I had been to this lady five times previously, I didn’t think anything of it when I got my usual top-up.

“But this time was different, while she was injecting I could feel that it was a much thicker substance and very painful – it even bled more than usual.

Ashleigh, from Peoria, Arizona, was left covered in sores

“Within an hour I couldn’t touch my lips because they were so painful and they were swollen so much that they looked like a bunch of grapes, so the next day I went to the hospital because I needed some help.”

Ashleigh received two millilitres of filler into her lips on August 3.

But the lips began bleeding within hours.

She added: “They had become covered in sores and were profusely bleeding and leaking puss – they were very badly infected.

The woman said her botched fillers have left her with ‘lips like grapes’

“Thankfully – after going to four different hospitals and being put on over five antibiotics – I was put on IV fluids which finally cleared up the severe infection.

“However, my lips are still bruised and massive, I’m worried that they will never return to normal.”

Despite her infection mostly clearing up, Ashleigh still claims she has no idea what was injected into her lips and has to return to hospital in two weeks to try and find out.

The medical assistant believes her lips will now rot off her face

She said: “A lot of doctors I have seen want to see me back in two weeks to try and find out some answers and make sure that they are on the mend.

“In the mean time I am massaging my lips aren’t bumpy, whilst also taking antibiotics and using an ointment.

“Right now nobody knows what is in the formula, so I don’t know if my lips will ever be normal and whether they will rot off.

“There is a long road ahead of me, so all I can do is hope that they don’t get any worse.”
