Wimbledon LIVE: Sue Barker speaks about BBC return as Pep Guardiola offered coaching role

Sue Barker has admitted she would be willing to return to front the BBC’s coverage of Wimbledon. The 68-year-old left the corporation in 2022 after spending 30 years as the face of the BBC at SW19.

After being asked by The Mirror if she would consider a return, she explained: “Yes, I would. I loved it. I loved the people and I didn’t want to leave.

“But you start hearing rumours of what is happening and [the BBC] obviously wants the next generation. And when you start hearing those rumours you think, “Maybe it’s time to get out while they still want me rather than being shoved out of the back door.”
