Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Boris and Corbyn face showdown after Jeremy Clarkson plea

Jeremy Clarkson is returning with another series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on Saturday night.

Speaking out on the ITV quiz show, the controversial presenter revealed who he’d love to see compete on the show.

The Grand Tour star said he wants to see political rivals Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn battle it out.

When asked which political figures he would like to see on the ITV quiz show, he told the Daily Star “I think Boris is no idiot.

“And if it came to Greek mythology he might be the man.

“Corbyn is supposed to be thick so it would be quite fun to have him on.

“Wouldn’t it be great to say to him, ‘I’m afraid you’ve gone out for £300′.”

Meanwhile, Jeremy recently revealed he would be willing to pay out if he caused a contestant to lose money.

The host is often put on the spot thanks to the new lifeline.

Ask The Host lets Jeremy select an answer on the contestants’ behalf.

In an interview with The Sun, Jeremy was asked if he would be willing to cough up the money if his answers cost a contestant.

He admitted: “If it was a low amount – in the hundreds – definitely.

“If I got it wrong though I’d have an uncomfortable night.”

Ahead of the show’s return, Jeremy hinted that his performance has got a lot better.

“I’ve never cost anymore money,” he added.

“I’ve said I don’t know if I don’t.”

“But this time round I’ve been better. I’ve been lucky,” he continued.

“They’re asked me questions I’ve know the answers to.”

Despite the tease, it has yet to be revealed whether this series has produced any millionaires yet.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire returns Saturday with a follow-up airing Sunday night.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire airs Saturday at 9.10pm on ITV.
