Wheeler Dealers fans have three huge theories over the location of stolen car mystery

Wheeler Dealers fans have three theories regarding the whereabouts of Mike Brewer’s stolen Ford a year and a half after the classic car was taken by thieves.

Mike and co-host Marc Priestley had just put the finishing touches on the ultra-rare Ford Fiesta Mk1 when it was taken from a hotel car park.

The duo were set to reveal their work at a car show and wrap up filming when the machine and its trailer were snatched in June 2023.

Mike issued an immediate appeal for information but the model has never been found and there have been few updates since.

However, fans took to social media to offer their idea behind what happened to the model as the episode re-aired on TV.

Most predicted the Fiesta had likely been taken apart completely with its individual parts sold off.

This would in theory make it harder to trace the parts back to the thieves and still allow criminals to turn a profit.

However, others suggested the car could still be in one pierce abroad, or even at the bottom of a canal once individuals realised who the vehicle belonged to.

X user @2SortsNorfolk said: “It is a shame. It’s a decent example. There’s no way it’s still in one piece though as the publicity surrounding it would’ve made it impossible to move on. Stripped for parts would be my guess.”

@andrewf195 added: “That went abroad very fast or broken up. Shame as it was the best build yet really enjoyed the transformation.”

@Carls_Lexicon commented: “A car that has no doubt left these shores or has been dismantled because it was too hot to handle, and that‘s a shame.”

@markwoodsey35 remarked:  “Awful Mike, and it’s probably been shipped abroad for parts or to be used. Someone will be getting a hell of a car!

“Shame no tracker was on it. Karma always comes back to people in the end Mike.”

@Methleylad posted: “Will be too hot to handle anyway so sadly likely to be in the bottom of a canal somewhere. Such a shame.”

Fans of the show posted their theories after Mike issued his first update of 2025.

He wrote on X: “The Fiesta never got recovered.. shame it was such an amazing build.”

Mike previously admitted he was saddened at the theft and initially believed it was a joke from his production staff.

Last year, he likened the theft to “losing a child” and even offered a £5,000 reward for information that led to the discovery of the machine.
