What/If is the latest crime thriller from Netflix and fans are already waiting for season two after it premiered on the streaming service on Friday, May 24. With a cast boasting the likes of Oscar-winner Renée Zellweger as Anne Montgomery and a plot that throws up twists fans never see coming, What/If was bound to be a hit. Here are all the details on What/If season two and whether or not there will be another series on Netflix.
Will there be another series of What/If on Netflix?
What/If season two is yet to be given the go-ahead by Netflix but fans needn’t worry.
Netflix tends to renew its original series in the weeks or months after the first season premieres, as opposed to commissioning multiple seasons at a time.
With season one of What/If only being released on May 25, there’s still plenty of time for renewal news to emerge.
Season two is still being called for by fans in the meantime, summed up by one fan on Twitter who wrote: “The level of over the top scenery chewing on @what_if from @netflix is something I forgot I needed after Revenge went off. Please bring Renée back for season two!!”

If What/If is renewed for another series, fans will want a number of loose ends tied up from the season one ending (SPOILERS AHEAD).
By the end of the first season, Anne Montgomery (played by Zellweger) was believed to have died to the rest of the world.
However, Netflix viewers saw she was well and truly still alive and enjoying life in the sun away from San Francisco.
Anne had supposedly killed herself in her childhood apartment by setting it on fire.
Her stocks and Emigen’s value were plummeting towards zero and Liam Strom’s (Julian Sands) men were after her.
After Foster (Louis Herthum) killed Liam in the apartment before succumbing to a bullet wound himself, along with her dying mother unconscious in the next room, Anne seized the opportunity to make it look like they all died in the apartment fire.
Fans will undoubtedly want to know just how Anne managed to worm her way out of the situation.

There’s also the consequences and aftermath of Dr Ian Harris’ (Dave Annable) death.
Ian was shot in the head by Angela (Samantha Marie Ware) after he kidnapped her to a cabin in the woods.
The doctor planned on luring Angela’s husband Todd (Keith Powers) into the wilderness in order to kill him and start a life with his former flame.
It backfired, however, and Angela took the drastic step of shooting him in the head while he was trapped by a bear trap.
Season two will also likely revealed whether Lisa (Jane Levy) and Sean (Blake Jenner) were able to reconcile their differences after their heartwarming final scene.
Fans will undoubtedly want to see how Marcos (Juan Castano) and Lionel’s (John Clarence Stewart) marriage pans out and whether Kevin (Derek Smith) will play another role in their romance.
What/If is available to stream on Netflix now.
