WENDY’S fans can now begin the countdown until new ‘Frosty Swirls’ will officially become permanent offerings.
Just last month, the quick service chain confirmed that the new Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions will hit the menu this spring for good.

And as of tomorrow, April 15th, foodies will be able to get their hands on the new drinks that will be rolled out nationwide.
The iconic Wendy’s Frosty, somewhat of a mix between a soft-serve ice cream and milkshake, has been a fan favorite since its debut at the first Wendy’s restaurant.
The sweet treat has remained on the chain’s menu since the late 1960s, when Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas thought to add the frozen dairy treat to it.
Over the years, the chain has added seasonal Frosty flavors to its menu, such as strawberry and pumpkin spice.
Fast foodies complained when the new flavors booted out the popular Vanilla Frosty, as Wendy’s previously only had two Frosty flavors on the menu at a time.
The quick service chain, however, has now backtracked on the rule.
Wendy’s partnered with the Girl Scouts and launched a Thin Mints Frosty earlier this year, featuring a cookie butter swirl inspired by the iconic chocolate mint cookies.
Diners could pick the ice cream base in the Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty flavor for the first time ever, totaling four Frosty choices currently on the Wendy’s menu – Chocolate Frosty, Vanilla Frosty, Chocolate Thin Mints Frosty and Vanilla Thin Mints Frosty.
Prior to the introduction of the Thin Mints Frosty, Wendy’s offered a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty inspired by Spongebob, which featured a swirl of Pineapple Mango purée.
Fans’ love of the classic Frosty with the tasty twist of a swirled flavor has pushed the fast food chain to add new permanent Frosty options to its menu.
NEW FROSTY ADDITIONS
Wendy’s confirmed the impending menu launch of Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions this spring at Wendy’s Investor Day.
Lindsay Radkoski, Wendy’s US chief marketing officer, said: “Frosty is one of the most iconic items on Wendy’s menu and we know that consumers are increasingly seeking new flavors and variety.
Wendy’s Frosty Flavors

The Frosty has remained a fan favorite at Wendy’s, on the menu since the late 1960s when founder Dave Thomas created the treat.
The original Frosty flavor was a mix of chocolate and vanilla, as Thomas thought that a pure chocolate flavor would be too overpowering with Wendy’s burgers.
Since its launch over 50 years ago, Wendy’s has rolled out a handful of seasonal Frosty flavors:
- Strawberry
- Pumpkin Spice
- Peppermint
- Orange Dreamsicle
- Triple Berry
- Pineapple Under the Sea
- Salted Caramel
“Our new Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions will give our fans even more ways to enjoy this classic treat.”
Similar to the Thin Mints Frosty and Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, the new Frosty Swirls will have a Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty base but allow customers to add a sauce.
The new Frosty Fusions will include mix-ins in addition to the sauce.
As of April 15th, Wendy’s fans will be able to get their hands on three new Frosty Swirls.
Foodies will be able to enjoy Caramel, Strawberry and Brownie Batter Frosty Swirls.
The Brownie Batter Swirl in particular is one you won’t want to miss – as it features the classic Frosty swirled with the chocolatey Brownie Batter sauce.
As well as this, from May 12th, Wendy’s fans will be able to get their hands on three new Frosty Fusions – OREO Brownie, mixed with perfectly crunchy OREO cookie pieces, Pop-Tarts Strawberry and Caramel Crunch.
The Pop-Tarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion will be the first time this beloved snacking staple will be officially offered as a mix-in for a frozen dessert, combining Wendy’s Frosty and sweet strawberry sauce with chunks of strawberry-flavored Pop-Tarts Crunchy Poppers pieces.
Meanwhile, the Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion blends the classic Frosty with crunchy toffee pieces and a sweet caramel sauce.
