We asked Trump superfans about Labour's election meddling and got surprise response

Trump supporters cited historic US meddling in foreign elections when asked about Labour Party activists coming to America to campaign for Kamala Harris.

The former president’s campaign has accused Sir Keir Starmer’s party of election interference after it was revealed a group of members from the UK planned to travel to swing states Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia to canvass for the Democratic candidate.

The British Prime Minister hit back, after Trump’s team filed a complaint with the US agency that oversees the country’s election laws, claiming that the Labour members were “volunteers” who’d gone in a “personal capacity.”

However, speaking to the Express outside a rally for the former president in Milwaukee, most Trump fans weren’t bothered by Labour Party activists efforts.

“Well what about us guys going over and sticking our noses in just about every election there is?” Trump superfan Steve McGuire replied when asked about Brits coming to the States during the election campaign.

“I don’t know if it’s tit-for-tat and we should let countries, you know, do their own thing. But we’re just as bad as [anyone else].”

It was an opinion also held by Larry Svestka, who’d come to the rally wearing a t-shirt referecing the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II because he believed both he and Trump had received a divine intervention to prevent their deaths.

“Well we’ve meddled in a lot of other elections, so it’s not really a surprise,” he said, “we meddle all over the place.”

One person who was not quite as forgiving was Trump fan Nikki Lannart.

“They’re kind of like Kamala supporters; stupid,” she told the Express,

“It just helps our cause becuase people that don’t live here don’t understand what’s going on. The fact that you can’t go to a grocery store anymore [it’s so expensive].

“Things have changed so much [and] people that don’t live here don’t understand this and the people who are supporting her don’t understand it either, they’re not regular people, they’re all celebrities.”
