The 2024 Rookie of the Year Clark made her return to play at her old collegiate arena as Indiana faced the Brazil national team in a preseason game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena over the weekend.
The exhibition game received a sell-out 14,998 crowd as Clark’s fans took in the spectacle.
However, Reese’s mother, Angel Webb, took a swipe at Clark’s fans on social media.
The WNBA mom said they focus on “celebrating championship banners” rather than attendance – a reference to Reese’s LSU’s victory over Clark’s Iowa squad in the 2023 NCAA Championship game.
“Aww that certain fan base looking in the stands celebrating “attendance” while others are looking up in the rafters celebrating championship banners,” she wrote on X.
“We ain’t the wsame.
“Different year same haters – Have a great day.”
Clark and Reese’s rivalry began when the latter mocked her rival by performing her patented celebrate in her face in the 2023 championship game.
The pair did play together in last year’s WNBA All-Star Game.
Clark and Reese went to-to-toe for the Rookie of the Year award last year.
But the NCAA all-time leading scorer Clark ultimately took home the hardware
During the 2024 campaign, however, Clark was part of a tense moment involving Reese’s Sky squad.
Clark was shoved to the floor by Chicago’s Chennedy Carter, and Reese appeared to walk away and laugh at the sequence.
Nonetheless, the pair have insisted that there’s no animosity toward one another.

Reese even admitted that she would love to be teammates with Clark in the future.
“I think we’re two great competitors. We brought a lot of fans to this league, and I thought, we’re going to continue to do that and one day, hopefully we can be teammates,” Reese said.
Fans can watch Clark and Reese face each other this month.
The pair will take on each other when the Fever host the Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on May 17.
