A Macklemore fan was arrested last weekend after she hopped onstage to perform a duet with the rapper and was recognized by someone in the crowd as being wanted by police.
The incident occurred during the Lovestream festival in Slovakia on Aug. 17, when the 24-year-old woman was invited onstage to sing with her idol, according to local police.
After the female fan allegedly shared the news on the social media that she was chosen to go onstage, an “observant citizen” saw her post and remembered seeing her previously on the Interior Ministry Wanted List online.
He promptly alerted the local authorities who were already at the venue. According to police, they allowed the woman to finish her duet with Macklemore before taking her into custody.
Details surrounding her criminal history are still somewhat unclear, but reports suggest the woman has been on the run since June for failing to pay a fine related to a 2019 streaking incident.
According to local outlets, she was arrested five years ago for disorderly conduct after disrupting a European League playoff soccer match by running topless across the field.
The woman was subsequently fined nearly $900 and banned from attending similar events. She allegedly never paid the fine and had been evading authorities ever since.
