Shocking CCTV captures a violent thug attack a drinker at a pub in a “ferocious and unprovoked attack”.
George Horn, 25, left the 56-year-old victim with severe injuries after punched him five times in the chest and face.
The sustained attack happened after the pair chatted for only a few minutes at the Jolly Sportsman pub in Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
Horn later punched and kicked a 30-year-old man at the same boozer that night in August last year.
The yob was jailed on Friday for nine years. He appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court to plead guilty to one count of grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of grievous bodily harm without intent.
The CCTV, played in court, shows Horn shake the hand of one of his victims before engage in a conversation.
But he suddenly grabs the drinker’s shirt and repeatedly thumps him in the face and chest.
The victim falls to the floor at the pub.
He later required treatment for an eye injury and had a stay in hospital.
Speaking after sentencing, Detective Constable Fred Ruffle from Aylesbury Force CID, said: “George Horn carried out two ferocious and unprovoked attacks on these two victims, who both required medical treatment.
“CCTV of these incidents show the aggressive and violent nature of these attacks.”
DC Ruffle, of Thames Valley Police , added: “Following these serious assaults, Horn also attempted to evade police.
“Horn is clearly a violent offender and until he was arrested and charged he did not want to be held responsible for his actions.
“However, he was successfully arrested, charged and taken through the courts.
“The hard work of officers involved in this case meant that Horn entered a guilty plea at the first opportunity.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the victims involved in this case for their support, which was not easy given the nature of the attacks.”
Horn, of no fixed abode, admitted the charges at a previous hearing.
