SIR David Suchet’s brand new twisted drama The Au Pair was secretly shot at the same location as a huge Disney blockbuster.
The series, which also stars Vera favourite Kenny Doughty as well as Sally Bretton and French actress Ludmilla Makowski, launched on Monday night.

Airing on Channel 5, it follows a picture-perfect family living in the idyllic Cotswolds as Bretton’s character continues to make inroads with her step-family while her diabetic father moves in next door.
But when they hire an Au Pair, things take a dark turn as her dangerous and twisted background pulls the family into a web of secrets that threaten lives.
The Sun can reveal The Au Pair was filmed last summer in Enniskerry in the Republic of Ireland – nearly 200 miles from the Cotswolds.
The town, located in Co. Wicklow, is also the same location used for Disney’s second instalment of smash-hit movie Enchanted.
It was transformed in 2021 as Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey reprised their roles for the fan-favourite fairytale.
Meanwhile, The Au Pair’s stunning family home that plays backdrop to the drama is a 162-year-old Victorian mansion located in Foxrock, South Dublin – the same part of the capital where U2 frontman Bono lives.
The secluded abode, called Lis na Carrig, is available for hire for corporate events, life celebrations such as weddings or even for wellness retreats.
The Au Pair has received mixed reviews from fans, as one said: “This feels like it might be an hour of my life I’ll never get back…time to switch over?”
A second asked: “Do any of these people do background checks?”
“They’re going to regret not getting a DBS,” said a third viewer.
The four-part series continues this week at 9pm before concluding on Thursday night.
