Apple confirmed the release of its all-new iPhone 16 last week with this latest and greatest gadget now available to pre-order. It will arrive in stores on Friday, September 20 with it featuring a fast A18 processor, improved rear cameras, longer battery life and faster wireless charging. It also gets two new buttons including Camera Control which lets you launch the camera app, snap photos and switch between settings via simple swipes. Then there’s the inclusion of the fully customisable Action Button (something previously only available on the Pro devices) which lets you launch favourites such as the Torch with one tap.
The iPhone 16 range also gets new colours and there’s a tougher design thanks to improved Ceramic Shield glass.
Finally, these new devices will be able to access Apple Intelligence when it launches later this year – that’s a smart upgrade most older devices won’t be compatible with.

There’s no question that the iPhone 16 is a stellar upgrade from Apple – Express.co.uk has already been hands-on with the update and you can read our iPhone 16 first impressions here.
However, if you aren’t bothered by all those shiny updates then now is a very good time to look at last year’s iPhone 15.
A few weeks ago, this flagship would have cost you a whopping £799 to buy but now that the iPhone 16 has been announced prices are tumbling.
Apple confirmed that the iPhone 15’s new price is now £699 but John Lewis and Amazon have gone one better by dropping things even further. In fact, you can now pop this 2023 model into your online shopping for just £681.
That reduction is available on the Black and Pink version of the iPhone 15 with 125GB of storage.

As a quick reminder, the iPhone 15 gets the speedy A16 Bionic chip inside along with a 6.1-inch display and Ceramic Sheild glass for added protection. There’s the inclusion of the Dynamic Island notch which changes shape deepening on the apps you are using and there’s a decent dual-lens camera along with long battery life.
It’s the first iPhone to switch to USB-C charging meaning all of your gadgets can be refilled with the same cable and it also comes with some life-changing additions such as Crash Detection and SOS text messaging via satellite.
