On the Ukrainian side, forces have lost 797 tanks – 539 have been destroyed, 68 have been damaged, 59 have been abandoned, and 131 have been captured.
Just yesteryday, the Ukrainian military released an update claiming Russia had lost 22 tanks in the last 24 hours alone, which would bring the total to 7,354.
According to Bastian Giegerich, director-general of the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Russia has lost more tanks in the war with Ukraine that it had operational at the start of the conflict.
