High school student Donald Laster, 14, and Kyrin Schumpert, a ninth grader, were among the fatalities.
Laster was just one of two freshman students to make the varsity team.
The teens were part of the Oklahoma Chaos basketball team.
“This is an unimaginable tragedy, please wrap their families and friends with love and support as they try to get through this very difficult time,” the organization said.
“Our organization has taken a tremendous hit and we are deeply saddened by the events that unfolded yesterday.
“We will continue to be here for the families of our players and coaches that we have lost.”
Jaimon Gilstrap, Kyrin’s dad, and coach Wayne Walls were also killed.
The crash happened when an SUV was trying to mass a slow moving vehicle, according to Kansas officials.
Gilstrap, the driver of the SUV, and Alexander Ernst, who was in a sedan, were heading toward each other.
Both swerved, but crashed into the highway shoulder.
