Two men were wounded in a shooting at a Brooklyn NYCHA complex near a middle school on Thursday, cops said.
A 911 call for shots fired led police to the wounded men, ages 19 and 24, at the Cyprus Hills NYCHA development on Fountain Ave. near Sutter Ave. in East New York around 1:27 p.m., police said.
The older man was struck in the back of his shoulder while the younger victim was grazed in the back, cops said.
Both victims were taken to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, according to law enforcement.
The shooter opened fire about a block away from the James P. Sinnot Junior High School. A police spokeswoman could not say if the school was placed into lockdown.
Children were spotted in costume trick-or-treating around the NYCHA development as police investigated the shooting.
There have been no arrests.
