TWO major grocery chains are set to close down nearly 800 locations for an entire day very soon, forcing shoppers to head to Target as an alternative.
Shoppers are going to be forced to deal with another huge retail blackout in just weeks, meaning you need to know what stores to keep an eye on.

The US Sun reported on the stores closing for a major US holiday that is fast approaching, which will mean a lot of things for Americans.
Memorial Day is coming at the end of May, and as one of the 11 recognized Federal Holidays, it means various services and stores will stop running for the day.
This year, Memorial Day is set for May 26, the day we remember the brave people who fought in our name.
It’s a vital day in the calendar, but it does mean that you need to know what is still operating.

This includes two major grocery chains, namely Costco and Natural Grocers.
Costco typically closes on other major holidays, too, like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Natural Grocers, which operates more than 162 stores across 20 states will also be closed, but is going the extra mile for its employees.
The chain always gives workers the holidays off with pay, as it is part of the company’s ethos.
Natural Grocers explains: “We live and breathe family. At the end of the day, it’s the people we love that make it all worthwhile.
“We also think it’s the best thing about the holidays — they’re a chance to spend time with loved ones.”
WHAT IS OPEN?
On Memorial Day, then, you need to know where you can turn in trying times, and Target is one of your best alternatives.
The major US retailer is making sure you have somewhere to turn on May 26.
But that isn’t the only big place you can go.
The US Sun has confirmed that both Walmart and Sam’s Club will be open as normal on that day, too.
For Sam’s Club, the stores will open from 8am to 6pm for plus members, and 10am to 6pm for club members.
KEY SERVICES DOWN
The US Sun also reported the fact that key services will be down on Memorial Day like at FedEx and UPS.
For FedEx, most of of the common services will be frozen for the full 24 hours.
This includes FedEx Express and FedEx Freight services, but the FedEx Office will be running modified hours.
