A seasoned traveller, Kylie, known on TikTok as @englandandeverywhere, is no stranger to navigating the ups and downs of budget holidays.
On her trip to Marmaris, Turkey, however, she was left baffled when she woke up to an unexpected surprise in her hotel room.
Despite the Middle Eastern country’s reputation for reliable sunshine, Kylie woke up to find her hotel room flooded after a brief but heavy downpour.
Sharing the drenched state of her room with her online followers, she wrote: “I woke up to a wet hotel room floor with the bed sheet soaking up a bunch of the water!”
She captured the flooded floors and soaked sheets in a viral video, which has so far garnered almost 25k views on TikTok.
One user playfully commented: “Love it! Nothing better than sitting watching the rain and storms on holiday.”
While another user shared their own experience: “We were at daisy beach bar when it started. Danced on the tables and chairs. It cooled us down as it was still 28. Got back to the hotel they told us to change if not we would get sick.”
Even though the rain momentarily dampened Kylie’s holiday, the weather quickly went back to a sunny 30-35C, as her subsequent posts revealed the brighter side of her trip.
