Travis Kelce throws Taylor Swift an Eras Tour-themed ‘surprise’ party

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce gave the Eras Tour the send-off it deserved with an Eras-themed bash in Kansas City, days after she wrapped the record-breaking feat.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to “surprise” Swift, 35, with “a congratulations party,” running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s wife Jo-Jo commented on social media, according to a post shared by Taylor Swift Updates.

Another fan account, this one dedicated to Swift and Kelce’s love story, shared a snap of the lovers posing, dolled up in a black halter dress and tux, respectively. Kelce’s look seemed to be a nod to the tux he wore in June when he joined Swift on stage at one of her star-studded London shows.

Also Wednesday, Brittany Mahomes shared a carousel of photos from the party, in which she dressed in a sparkly fringe dress similar to Swift’s “Fearless” era, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes also donned a Kelce-like tux.

Swift’s Eras Tour, the first to ever gross $1 billion — and then the first to surpass that and gross $2 billion — ended on Dec. 8 in Vancouver after nearly two years. She celebrated her birthday five days later on Dec. 13, so it’s safe to say the party may have celebrated both milestones.

It’s unclear when Swift and Kelce will take the next step personally, or what that might look like for them each professionally.

Kelce hinted on Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights,” the hit podcast he hosts with big brother and ex-Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, that retirement may be around the corner.

As for life off the stage and field, respectively, Swift and Kelce hosted their families for Thanksgiving and, as a source recently told Us Weekly, are planning to do the same for Christmas.
