Chelsea are the frontrunners to sign Kobbie Mainoo if he leaves Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.
The Red Devils have reached a stalemate in contract talks with the midfielder, alerting clubs to the possibility of a January sale.
It is said that Chelsea are ready to move for Mainoo if he fails to agree new terms.
However, the report adds that United are hopeful of reaching a compromise.
If a deal cannot be struck, they could reluctantly decide to sell Mainoo with the teenager valued at around £65m.
