That’s because Trader Joe’s has a version that’s reportedly a great dupe for the nourishing cream, and only a fraction of the price.
The Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream is priced at just $4.99 and promises to leave skin feeling incredibly smooth.
Made with “coconut oil, hemp seed oil, and 20% pure shea butter, along with essential fatty acids and skin-friendly antioxidants like vitamins C & E,” the cream is dream for at home or on the go.
“We also add sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil, and linseed extract, which are prized for their skin-soothing/skin-softening abilities,” Trader Joe’s bosses said.
They continued: “The end result here is a luxuriously thick and rich, paraben-free Hand Cream that will hydrate your dry, wintry hands and leave them smelling enchantingly fresh.
“Like iso many things, it’s what’s on the inside of our Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream that counts—but it doesn’t hurt that each trendy metal tube comes packaged in an attractive and easily giftable box.
“Put a bow on it, and it becomes a très chic, and très thoughtful present for your beloved.”
The product is thought to be similar to the Nourishing and Protective Shea Butter Hand Cream from the popular brand L’Occitane, but at $32 is out of budget for some beauty fans.
That’s what makes the Trader Joe’s version a real winner for skincare lovers.
The hand cream isn’t the only beauty dupe the retail chain has to offer up though.
Shoppers were recently left overjoyed that store restocked it’s summer essential for just $9 – and it’s a great Supergoop dupe.
As spring slowly begins turning to summer, you can now grab the dupe that experts dub the “one of the best” they have ever seen.
Trader Joe’s is bringing back its Daily Facial Sunscreen for just $8.99.
The SPF40 product has been recommended by fans and experts alike.
It also stands to save you a significant amount of money as a dupe compared to Supergoop’s range.
The Trader Joe’s version offers a sunscreen that saves you from greasy skin and offers you quick absorption for a comfortable use.
What is UPF and how is it different from SPF?
While SPF measures the effectiveness of sunscreens, UPF imeasures the effectiveness of sun-protective clothing.
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor.
According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, it specifies how much UV radiation (both UVA and UVB) can get through a fabric to the skin underneath.
A UPF of 50 blocks 98% of UV rays and is considered excellent, while a UPF of 30 is considered good and gets The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Seal of Recommendation.
Generally, dark clothing gives more protection than light clothing, while dense fabric is more protective than loose weaves.
Synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon also offer more sun protection than natural fibers, according to REI.
On the other hand, SPF (Sun Protection Factor) measures the time it takes for skin to get red when exposed to just UVB rays.
