It turns out that Trader Joe’s has gotten rid of the frozen artichoke hearts, as was confirmed in the comment section.
A shopper commented: “Went looking for them the other day.
“I hope they return for the summer.
“Hard to find ones that aren’t loaded with sodium.”
Ans a second shared a heartfelt memory: “Those were amazing air-fried with the garlic sauce/dip.”
WILL THEY COME BACK?
But there was a suggestion that the artichokes could be coming back at a later date.
One person said: “Devastating to me.”
But, in a moment of understanding and unity, she went onto share where else they can be found.
She added: “Safeway carries them in boxes on the east coast. Wegmans, too. And yes, Whole Foods.”
That togetherness was replicated as a shopper shared her belief that the product would return.
They suggested: “Yes, the frozen artichoke bottoms will be back in the summer, apparently.”
How to cut the cost of your grocery shop
BELOW are some tips on how to reduce the amount you spend on groceries.
- Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
- Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
- Never shop hungry – You are far more likely to buy more food if your tummy is rumbling
- Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
- Use social media – Follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
- Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
- Check the small print – It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
- Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards
If Trader Joe’s discontinued the item, as people, believe, this would suggest that the food isn’t coming back at al.
This could be for a number of reasons, like if it wasn’t selling well.
If the artichokes do come back son, then maybe the product was never discontinued and instead it was just taken off shelves momentarily.
This isn’t rare for retailers, as they may be trying to change the recipe of the food, for example.
