It’s one of the most popular genres of blockbuster cinema, speculating futuristic concepts of science and technology from space exploration and aliens to time travel and the multiverse. And now film fans on IMDb have ranked the greatest sci-fi movies of all timem with No 1 being inspired by James Bond. It’s worth noting that superhero films are not included as they are their own genre and incredibly 2001: A Space Odyssey just missed out on the Top 10 in 12th place behind Return of the Jedi.
