Tommy DeVito concussion makes Tim Boyle the 4th QB to play for Giants this season

Daniel Jones. Tommy DeVito. Drew Lock. And now, Tim Boyle.

DeVito suffered a concussion in Sunday’s second quarter against the Ravens, giving way to the veteran Boyle for the second half.

Boyle, 30, became the fourth Giants quarterback to play for the team this season. And he took a snap for his sixth team in his seven-year career.

Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll have struggled to keep quarterbacks healthy.

Boyle is actually the third Giants quarterback to play in the last four games.

The Giants started DeVito against the Buccaneers in their first game after releasing Jones, and he got hurt and couldn’t start the next week.

Lock then started two games against the Cowboys and Saints but took 35 hits, got hurt and couldn’t start on Sunday.

That gave way to DeVito’s second start of the season, but he didn’t even make it to halftime.

A huge hit by Ravens defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike appeared to be the cause of DeVito’s concussion, although the quarterback remained in the game for the rest of that drive before coming out.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
