Inverness Airport in Dalcross, Scotland, was named among the Best Airports in Europe that serve under two million passengers at the Airport Service Quality Awards.
The Airports Council International recorded passenger satisfaction levels from 400 airports across the world before naming the award winners.
All the other winners in the category were airports in Spain, including El Hierro Airport, Girona-Costa Brava Airport, Pamplona Airport, Reus Airport and Zaragoza Airport.
It is the fifth consecutive time Inverness Airport has won the award.
And, for the third year in a row, Inverness Airport also won the award for having the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe.
Inverness Airport started life as a RAF base in 1940 before opening for civilian use in 1947.
Nowadays, airlines like Loganair, TUI, KLM, easyJet and British Airways operate flights from the Scottish airport.
Loganair, the largest regional airline in the UK, operates domestic flights to destinations like Belfast, Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides, Kirkwall and Stornoway.
British Airways and easyJet connect Inverness to London, with flights to London Heathrow, London Luton and London Gatwick.
Meanwhile, TUI operates a route to Majorca.
General Manager of Inverness Airport, Graeme Bell, said: “To win these awards for the fifth consecutive year is an incredible achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved with Inverness Airport.
“Being recognised for the third year running as the Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe as well is a testament to the hard work, passion, and commitment of our entire team.”
