A Miami professional boxer and TikTok fitness influencer has been arrested for allegedly hacking into her ex-boyfriend’s laptop and posting nude pictures of his girlfriend online, authorities said.
Stefanie Cohen Magarici, better known online as Stefi Cohen, was taken into custody by Miami-Dade Police earlier this week after physically resisting her arrest, CBS Miami reported Thursday, citing the arrest affidavit.
According to police, Cohen’s ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend arrived at police headquarters in November to report she had gained access to the man’s laptop, logged into his iCloud account and obtained nude photos of his girlfriend.
The incident occurred nearly two years after Cohen learned of their relationship.
After guessing “commonly used passwords,” Cohen logged onto the computer and located private photos of the woman. She then leaked them to social media platforms with the purpose of “exposing and humiliating her.”
On Tuesday, Miami-Dade Police officers approached her in Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood. After telling her she was under arrest and needed to go with them to the station, she refused to do so, police said.
“Ms. Cohen then stated she was not going with them and began to physically resist,” police wrote in the arrest report, according to local TV station WPLG.
She was eventually taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
When Cohen appeared in court on Wednesday, she was granted a $3,300 bond, according to NBC Miami. She was also told to stay away from her ex and his girlfriend.
Later on Wednesday, Cohen took to social media to defend herself.
“Anyone can be falsely accused of a crime and arrested,” she wrote in the comments section of an Instagram post by Only in Dade, a community-focused news outlet. “These are only allegations from a vengeful [e]x-boyfriend. Simply allegations and we will fight it all the way.”
Cohen has over 1 million followers on Instagram and 213,000 subscribers on YouTube. According to a bio on her social media accounts, she is a “25x world record-holding powerlifter and the first woman in the history of the sport to deadlift over 4.5 times [her] bodyweight.”
