Today I’ve looked at how you can decipher your gummies from your matcha, without spending a penny in the process . . .
PHARMACISTS
THE Naked Pharmacy has realised how confused we are getting, and hired registered GPhC pharmacists to help customers.
They’re a great company, with natural products using premium ingredients for both adults and kids.
So, if you’re unsure about which of their supplements to take, particularly if you’re on medication or worried about interactions and dosages, you can book a phone consultation.
I went online, booked one on the Thursday and got a 15-minute appointment by the following Tuesday.
The woman I spoke to guided me on what I should and shouldn’t be taking.

HIGH STREET
THIS really is one of the best places to find the advice you need.
Independent health-food stores have staff who are either qualified or highly experienced in helping with conditions such as allergies, heart health, joint mobility, the menopause and sleep disorders.
And they are there to listen to your health concerns.
Many of the stores ensure their staff receive education through courses, as well as employing nutritionists to provide expert advice.
I visited my local store and was amazed by the knowledge of the woman who worked there.
She was very helpful, both about what I should buy and which products from big-name brands were of the best quality.

NUTRITIONIST
ALTRUVITA is a new not-for-profit wellbeing brand that reinvests all profits back into the ingredients, and clinical research, to create the most effective formulations.
Nutritionist Katie Murray is available for consultations, via their website.
She has nine years of clinical experience to draw on. I filled out a form and was given a Zoom appointment within a week.
She was lovely and gave me some great advice about my dodgy sleep patterns.
I am now taking Altruvita’s CoQ10 and B vitamins during the day, for natural energy production, and then their magnesium glycinate before bed to help me relax and sleep better.
