THREE out-of-contract players Liverpool should sign to revitalise squad for FREE

With the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno leaving upon the expiry of their contracts, there are a few places in the squad that need to be filled.

Jurgen Klopp has already made it clear that he won’t be spending excessive amounts of cash this summer.

No marquee signings are expected to make the move to Anfield as the German looks to improve what he has already assembled.

So with that in mind, are there any free agents that could realistically improve the Liverpool squad this summer?

Yacine Brahimi

Brahimi has been linked with a move to the Premier League for years, but the move has never materialised for one reason or another.

He’s been an important player for the Portuguese club ever since arriving from Spain and now he has had to run down his contract to finally get his move.

A wide player who can also play as a No 10, the Algerian international would help improve the Reds squad depth and provide healthy competition for the front three.

He is likely to have a number of offers this summer, he’ll be one of the best free agents on the market

Filipe Luis

Currently at the Copa America with Brazil, when Luis returns to Europe he will be in search of a new club.

After returning to Atletico from Chelsea, the left-back has built a reputation as a sturdy, consistent performer.

But now the time has come to move and Liverpool have a gap to fill in the position.

Andy Robertson needs an understudy and Luis maybe able to accept that he will not be first choice.

Improving the club’s squad depth would see them fix their poor reputation of crashing out in the early rounds of the cups.

Having recently left West Ham, the goalkeeper could be a fantastic option to replace Simon Mignolet should he leave.

The Belgian is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace and could leave Anfield in search of regular football.

If that is the case, there is no point in Liverpool spending money on a back-up keeper when there is a shrewd option available on a free transfer.

His wages will not be a stumbling block either considering he is unlikely to demand a bigger pay package than the one h received at West Ham.
